Scope and approach

What you get

Loose loads are loaded by an excavator or loader, so the dump truck often works together with a mini excavator – soil from the excavation goes straight into the truck body without sitting in a heap in the yard. We tip delivered material where it will be used, if the ground allows.

Excavated soil is taken to an authorised site, and waste to a licensed waste facility or landfill. The number of runs is agreed in advance.

Technical detail: the unloading spot

When unloading, the truck body is raised high, so there must be no cables or branches above the spot. The ground must be firm and level – on soft or sloping ground, a loaded truck can sink or tip.

  • We deliver sand, ballast, crushed stone and topsoil to the site
  • We take away soil from excavations for foundations, drainage and septic tanks
  • We take away loose construction waste – concrete, bricks, plaster, roof tiles
  • We work together with a mini excavator that loads straight into the truck body
  • We unload where the material will be used, if the ground is firm and level
  • We clean soil and mud off the street in front of the site after the last run
When to call us

From the problem to the solution

The most common situations people call us about, and how we approach them.

Common problems

  • The material is dumped far from where the work is and has to be moved by wheelbarrow
  • A narrow street, low cables or branches stop the truck from reaching the site
  • Soil from the excavation sits in a heap in the yard for weeks
  • After the runs, mud is left on the street and the neighbours complain
  • It is unclear how many runs will be needed and how extra ones are charged

How we approach them

  • We confirm the exact unloading spot before the delivery day
  • We check the route and the approach to the site in advance
  • We schedule the runs for the day of the excavation, so the soil does not sit in a heap in the yard
  • We clean the road in front of the site after the last run
  • We agree the number of runs in advance and confirm any extra ones before making them

A good fit when

  • When you need sand, ballast or crushed stone for foundations, paving or backfill
  • When the excavation is done and the soil needs to be taken away
  • When demolition or yard renovation has left loose waste for one run or more
  • When you are preparing a yard for paving and need material and removal under one agreement

Process

How the work runs

We organise the work around the specifics of the city and the property, planning access, logistics and stages.

  1. We confirm the load, the quantity and the loading and unloading addresses

  2. We check the approach – the width of the street and gate, the slope, and any cables and branches above the spot

  3. We agree the day and time and, if needed, a machine for loading

  4. We load, transport and unload at the agreed spot

  5. We clean the road in front of the site and confirm the number of runs made

Price

What affects the price

The price depends on the type of load, the number of runs and the distance, and is confirmed in advance for the specific address.

If the quantity turns out to be larger than agreed, additional runs are confirmed with you before removal.

See the price list
  • The distance between loading and unloading determines the time for each run
  • The quantity of material or soil determines the number of runs
  • The type of load matters – delivery of material, excavated soil or construction waste
  • Loading by machine or by hand changes the time per run
  • Waiting time during loading and a narrow approach to the site make a run longer
  • The facility fee is added when soil or waste is handed over there

Yes. Excavated soil is taken to an authorised site, or to another property of yours if fill is needed there.

A dump truck is for loose quantities from an excavation or a yard. For waste in an apartment that is carried down the stairs, removal in bags is more suitable.

Describe the load, the quantity and both addresses, and we will confirm the runs and the day.

If a machine is also needed for loading, we arrange the dump truck and the mini excavator together.
