The circuits are planned around your furniture and appliances: dedicated lines for the oven and hob, the water heater, air conditioners and the washing machine, and more sockets where you actually use them. In prefab panel buildings we do not chase load-bearing walls or ceiling slabs – the cable routes run in the screed, along partition walls or above a suspended ceiling.
Rewiring is done at the start of the renovation, before skim coating and tiling, so that no finished wall has to be opened again. The work is carried out by qualified electricians in line with current safety requirements.
Technical detail: aluminium and copper
A joint between an aluminium and a copper wire oxidises and loosens over time. It heats up and is a common cause of melted junction boxes and sockets. That is why, when rewiring, we replace the whole line from the panel to the point, not just the visible sections.

Not without any opening at all: the new cables run in channels in the walls, in the floor screed or above a suspended ceiling. That is why the right time is during a major renovation.
For a standard apartment, the first fix usually takes a few working days, and the second fix another day or two after painting. The exact timing depends on the scope and on the other work in the renovation.
It is possible if the work goes room by room and there is a temporary supply for the fridge and lighting. The days when channels are cut are noisy and dusty, so it is easier if you are not at home then.
