We work to a written list for each room – what is removed, what stays and how it is carried out. Before demolition, we switch off the power and shut off the water in the area, and we protect and clean the stairwell and lift every day.
Load-bearing walls, columns and beams are not touched without a structural engineer's opinion and the necessary permits. We plan noisy work according to the building's house rules and the municipal rules on quiet hours.
Technical detail: the volume of waste
Demolished material takes up more space than it did in the wall or floor – once broken up, it bulks out. That is why bags and truck runs are calculated from the actual volume of waste, not from the floor area of the home.

Noisy work is planned for the hours allowed by the building's house rules and municipal regulations. The stairwell and lift are protected, and the common areas are cleaned at the end of the day.
There is no need – waste removal is part of the service. For a large volume we can also arrange a skip, if there is space in front of the building and permission to place it.
The rooms where demolition takes place must be cleared of furniture and belongings. We seal the doors to the other rooms with plastic sheeting against dust.
